As you might already know, these pirates (arghhhh) are getting ready to demand a ransom for the oil tanker they stole (or is it, plundered?) off the coast of Kenya. The Sirius Star is said to be worth around $250mm in total and contains 25 crew members, all of which are liable. I’m kind of wondering why they don’t police this area more effectively, or better yet, why foreign companies keep sending shipments through here:
They also stole a ship in September carrying a bunch of tanks. Man, tanks? They wanted $8mm, but what if they just wanted to blow some shit up. Let’s get our acts together.
